San Antonio Bay water monitoring began in January 2004 with an agreement between DNR and the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) [1] to collect water quality data in the lower San Antonio Bay. Data collection began with the installation of GBRA Station #1 [2], measuring conductivity, pH, water temperature, sensor depth, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity. A second station, GBRA Station #2 [3] was established in October 2004 near Seadrift, measuring temperature and salinity. Additional sensors will be added to GBRA Station #1 to collect water velocity and wave data.
