We have water temperature predictions for two locations so far, Bird Island Basin and Rincon. The intracoastal waterway water temperature is largely homogeneous (see reports) for the Upper Laguna Madre both in depth and location. The temperature predictions at both stations will therefore be generally identical. We implemented the Rincon del San Jose model in case data was missing at Bird Island but the predictions can be used interchangeably.

Bird Island Basin

On January 18th, 2008, the station at Bird Island Basin was run over by a barge. The platform has not yet been moved/repaired, but we have resumed data collection for the time being. Until the station has been completely repaired, water temperature forecasts may not always be available.

Rincon del San Jose
