The application of the persistent model for this station is presently investigated by the Division of Nearshore Research. The performance of the model will vary. For stable weather conditions, model forecasts will be accurate within +/- 15 cm. However model performance will not always be within +/- 15 cm during changes in weather conditions such as frontal passages and especially tropical storms and hurricanes.
