Notes:

Installing ArcGIS^? Server on a Windows Server 2008 machine has additional requirements, see Step 1: Additional Windows Server 2008 requirements in the above documentation.

Installing ArcGIS^? Server on a Windows Server 2008 machine, the Private Profile firewall must be tuned off

1. Click on Start -> Administrator Tools -> Windows Firewall with Advance Security
2. In the Overview Plane, click on Windows Firewall Properties
3. Click on the Private Profile tab
4. In the State Plane, Firewall state dropdown select off.
5. Click OK and close window.

Making an ArcCatalog^? Connection between two servers:

• Both Servers Must be on the same Local Area Connection
• Firewall Setting must be turned off, see above.
• User logged in must have the same credentials on both servers and a memeber of the agsadmin group
