Indianola Beach

is located along the south shoreline of Matagorda Bay and had been eroding at a rate of 5 to 7 feet per year. Almost 1 mile of shoreline protection was constructed, with approximately 3,000 feet of beach nourishment and protective groins and another 2,000 feet of articulated concrete mat shoreline protection.
